HIV and Social Security Disability Benefits | Immune System Disorder

The Social Security Administration has had a difficult time addressing the criteria for Immune System Disorders such as HIV infection, Auto Immune Disorders, Systematic Lupus, Erythematosus (SLE) Sclerodrma, Connective Tissue Disease, Polymyositis, Dermotomyositis, Inflamatory Arthritis and Sjogren’s Syndrome.

On June 16, 2008 the Social Security Administration enacted changes to the Immune System Disorder listing which are effective and applied to any case pending on or after that date.

This will be effective for eight years and will then be reevaluated.

If you suffer from an Immune System Disorder listing, you should check out the immune system disorder rule: www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/index.html

The Social Security Administration does consider repeated manifestations with functional limitations, the impact of treatment and the response to that treatment and considers functional limitations.

If you are a Social Security Disability applicant who suffers from HIV infection, Auto Immune Disorders, Systematic Lupus, Erythematosus (SLE) Sclerodrma, Connective Tissue Disease, Polymyositis, Dermotomyositis, Inflamatory Arthritis and Sjogren’s Syndrome, contact Sarasota, Bradenton, St. Petersburg Social Security Disability benefits denied lawyer Sharon Barrett, for a free no obligation consultation.
