A: Medicare doesn’t cover medication unless the medication is administered either in a hospital or in your doctors office. You will have to purchase part D for prescription drugs; however, Medicare advantage plans can offer prescription drug coverage. So if you choose traditional Medicare you need to enroll in a stand alone part D plan.
