This study compared the blood samples of 101 patients diagnosed with chronic fatigue to samples from 218 healthy patients. Over 67% of those diagnosed with chronic fatigue have a XMRV virus as compared with fewer than 4% of the healthy subjects in the study.
XMRV has not been shown to cause chronic fatigue syndrome but it does have characteristics that make it a likely suspect because it can give rise to infection that persists indefinitely.
The XMRV finding can lead to the first treatment.
If you have chronic fatigue and are thinking about filing a claim for Long Term Disability or have been denied your Long Term Disability benefits. Contact chronic fatigue Long Term Disability attorney Nancy Cavey for assistance with your claim.
