St. Petersburg | Tampa Social Security Disability Attorney Sharon M. Barrett

Sharon M. Barrett has devoted her career to fighting for the rights of the disabled. She began her career working for the Social Security Administration. She held a variety of positions with the agency including fifteen years in management. While working full-time, she earned a BA in Psychology, summa cum laude, from Walsh University. In 1993, she decided to attend law school and in December 1996, she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law. In 1998, she began working as an attorney advisor to Administrative Law Judges at the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review.

In October 2000, after a successful career of twenty-three years in federal employment, Sharon entered private practice where she continues to fight for the rights of the disabled in the areas of social security disability, workers compensation, and long-term disability.

Sharon is licensed to practice law in the states of Ohio and Florida..She is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the National Association of Social Security Representatives (NOSSCR).
